Once again the Annual Whittlesford Film Show took place near Cambridge at Whittlesford’s Memorial Hall on Saturday 22nd February. Organised by our Membership Secretary Robert Pumfrey BEM, this popular event is always worth looking forward to and is a local highlight during the winter closed season. This years event was no exception, and a good attendance turned-out to view many films both old and new. Local rallies and those from further afield had been captured from times past, with many familiar and somewhat younger faces to be seen. The presence of head-fulls of youthful hair was noted on many of these stalwarts!
Those of you who have seen my handsome bouffant will know that I’m unable to comment on such things!
Richard Hobbs played a selection of films he had taken toward the end of the 2013 seasons, showing the Haddenham and Bedford rallies as well as the Great Chesterford Steam Up. There were great shots of many of the exhibits, including many impressive ‘worms eye views’.
The half-time refreshments were enjoyed by all, and the raffle was as popular as ever. Thanks go to all those who helped make this event happen
