Easter Steam Up

4 April 2014 - Rally Reports Category

This year saw the annual Easter Steam Up (Supported by BSEPS) move from its previous location at the Butchers Arms to The Compasses at Little Green near Chelmsford.

A total of 8 full size engines were in attendance most having roaded over the event. The Worbey families Garrett Wagon and Andy Holmes recently acquired Ruston Tractor had traveled over the weekend before from Bedfordshire, a distance of over 40 miles. Whilst John Hunt bought his Marshall Roller from Stanstead along with Keith Honour and his Burrell Showmans ‘Margaret’

EATES Vice President Trevor Ellis was in attendance for the Saturday with his Fowler Roller. Completing the line up were Barry Freemans pair of Burrell Traction Engines and the Saunders Collections Burrell Scenic ‘Ex Mayor’

The event was certainly a great success at its new venue and it is hoped that it will grow in size in future years
